The City Guard

This is the civilan milita that guards Tortosa. It it Not under the Church or the Templars but is under control from the mayor and his representitive the Captain of the Guard.

It is open to any member of the village and can not turn down new members, you can join the guard even if you are not a fighter.

This is the Uniform of the town guard.

Guardsmen who are not fighters (Fighting men with armor) wear simple black tabards and should wear at least a club in their belts, but may also carry an appropriate sword,axe or spear.

Fighting guards (includes Archers and Fencers) may do the same but get the honor of the red trim.

The Captain of the guard is the only one allowed the two color tabard. Town guard are expected to act as security, aid parking and at times provide a fighting force.
